Monoqools 3D-printed glasses are designed digitally in 3D, based on your shape, fit and style preferences. Then the designer transfers the file to our 3D printer, where polyamide powder is spread and hardened with a laser. The process is repeated layer-by-layer until the frame is finished. Finally, the glasses are polished and dyed to ensure a perfectly designed product that matches your personal expression.

The result is a unique set of ultra-light 3D-printed glasses. Take a look at our Slider series, for example. These glasses weigh just 4 grams, ensuring a comfortable fit. Or check out our cool 3D-printed sunglass collection, also made of lightweight, high-tech materials.

AM Eyewear returns with their 2019 collection ‘Lost Horizons’, paying homage to the breathtaking Australian sky with their unique perspective on premium eyewear.

This season AM Eyewear has handcrafted an exquisite range plated with 18ct and 22ct gold, as well as combinations of silver, rose gold, and copper elements across frames and hardware, with both Polarised and ZEISS lenses. The creative process for Lost Horizons invoked the dynamic colours and textures of the sky above land and sea.

Within the collection, clear lines and reflections position alongside pastel blues and pinks, sun-drenched yellows and smokey greys, evoking a soft gaze over the shifting horizon.

Lost Horizons sees the introduction of 7 new silhouettes, hand-crafted primarily from super lightweight titanium and exquisitely thin acetate, cured longer through an extended baking process for greater stability, resulting in extremely light frames that are incredibly durable. Lightly mirrored nylon ZEISS and Polarised lenses marry with AM Eyewear’s signature temple tips, while adjustable titanium nose pads provide superior comfort for both Asian and Western nose bridges.

Bohr frame in Blue Old School by AM Eyewear. Also available in Black, Moraccan Tort and Purple Demi.

  • CURED ITALIAN ACETATE – we cure our Italian acetate for an extended period of time in specially designed ovens, ensuring the acetate is in a more stable state when it’s used for production so it’s less likely to warp or twist.

  • VISOTTICA COMOTEC HINGES – we use the superior quality of COMOTEC hinges because their Italian made products receive strenuous testing (in comparison to someone wearing a frame for many many years) to ensure their hinges don’t fail when they are put through a hard life.

  • EMBEDDED LOGOS – we secure our logos by first laser engraving a cavity, deep embedding them and then applying a layer of epoxy over the top. This leaves our logos smooth to the touch, with a luxurious gold appearance and ensures they do not come free.

  • Niels Henrik David Bohr (Danish: 7 October 1885 – 18 November 1962) was a Danish physicist who made foundational contributions to understanding atomic structure and quantum theory, for which he received the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1922. Bohr was also a philosopher and a promoter of scientific research.
Burroughs

Burroughs frame in Blue by AM Eyewear. Also available in Gold.

  • INDIAN BUFFALO HORN – we use sustainably harvested Indian buffalo horn, as it’s a connection to the optical technics of our forefathers. In the past highly regarded materials such as gold, horn and shell were used to make high-end optical frames, we bring back this tradition in a way that ensures animals were not harmed in order to supply us with these materials.

  • CUSTOM TITANIUM NOSE PADS WITH Ion PLATING – we have specially developed our nose pads using high-grade titanium that is treated with Ion plating. Unlike many others platings, Ion plating is hypoallergenic and this is vital because nose pads are in constant contact with the skin.

  • William Seward Burroughs II was an American writer and visual artist. Burroughs was a primary figure of the Beat Generation and a major postmodernist author whose influence is considered to have affected a range of popular culture as well as literature.
