Frames and Face Shapes: Narrow/ Long/ Oblong

Narrow/ Long/ Oblong

Narrow, Long or Oblong faces are characterized similar to the oval face shape. However, it has more length, less width, flatter cheek bones and tends to have a pointy chin. The aim of eye wear with this face shape is to try and shorten the look of the face by adding a statement to break up the length. Eye Wear used to enhance the beauty of this face shape is easily achieved by selecting larger and deeper frames that are shorter horizontal than vertical. Taller frames with a more circular or square shape will take up more room and look better than rectangular frames. Also, adding a contrasting temple or side decoration will draw attention to the sides of the face and make it appear wider. Some celebrity examples of this Narrow/ Long/ Oblong face shape include Liv Tyler and Ben Affleck.

Our showroom at nv have a number of frame models from Vinylize, Jonas Paul, Ganeko Unit and AM Eyewear that fulfill the tenants above. These frames come in acetates (plastics) and in metals with an astounding variety in colours and patterns.  All four lines are exclusive in Winnipeg to nv Eye Care Eye Wear. Come in and see these modern and stylish frames and complete your new fall look.
